This report is only a summary and editorial regarding the executive orders (“EOs”) signed by the Trump Administration during the last week. EOs are not legislation or court opinions. They do not carry the weight of law, and are merely statements of policy within the executive branch. That is not to say they cannot be cited in court or legal pleadings, or aren’t relevant to the application of law, only that they are almost never controlling outside of internal executive branch administration.
EOs are signed and reported on, generally, a week before they are published into the Federal Register. Until such a publication, it can be difficult to know the exact language of the signed EO. For that reason, these reports only include EOs published in the Federal Register. While this can lead to these reports feeling delayed or dated, it is to ensure precision and clarity.

Executive Order 14314 - Making America Beautiful Again by Improving Our National
Signed: July 3, 2025
Published: July 7, 2025
Summary
Section 1 talks about how cool american parks are, but that we need to increase entry fees for non Americans, to help afford them.
Section 2 orders the Secretary of Interior to come up with a plan to increase the cost of non-Americans to enter the park while lowering the cost of Americans.
Section 3 revokes the Presidential Memorandum of January 12, 2017 (Promoting Diversity and Inclusion in Our National Parks, National Forests, and Other Public Lands and Waters).

What It Means
This EO is likely a thin veneer for the Administration and its supporters to claim that they care about National Parks. This is ignoring the fact that National parks only cost the US $3.1 billion a year to operate, while bringing in roughly $26.5 billion a year. This EO implies that they parks are somehow burdensome to operate, and this alleviates this problem. In reality, the Trump administration has illegally fired thousands of full and part time workers who help these parks function, leaving scheduling, safety, and maintenance in chaos. Meanwhile, the Administration is in the process of selling off millions of acres of federal lands, and reviewing the remaining land for contracts for private corporations.
Looking Forward
This EO will do little more than discourage foreigners from visiting national parks. In the meantime, expect to see it be waived as a shield against the detractors of this Administration for their deficient stewardship of some of this Nation’s greatest assets.
